To make the most of the event runners and support crews need to be aware of all the information on these pages. Take a good look around, pay attention to checkpoint locations.
Arrive at the Registration Point at least an hour before your start time. Start times are either 10:00 or 12:00. Minibuses run from Tring Train Station. You will collect your number and t-shirt here. Check your details are correct and you're good to go.
About twenty minutes before the start you'll hear the whistle and runners and event officials move to the start, about a ten minute walk to Ivinghoe Beacon.
After the race briefing (AKA the sermon on the mount) you'll be on your way. Remember all roads are open, you're responsible for your own safety and you're running under UK Athletics Rule of Competition.
The course is waymarked throughout with dedicated Ridgeway Signposts.
The dedicated checkpoint pages show the actual checkpoint locations along with information on car parking and facilities.
There are nine checkpoints along the route providing food and water. You have access to your drop bag at checkpoint 5, Goring.
Harvey Ridgeway Map is recommended should you wish to carry one.
Once you arrive at the finish there is room to change and hot food.
Free transport will take you to Swindon Train Station or the Oasis. Showers are available at the Oasis for fee payable directly to the Oasis at reception.
The Oasis is about a ten minute walk away from the train station.
